No. They can throw that in a filler in the anime, thats fine. But don't waste a chapter in the manga on it.

Unlikely, Naruto is to weak right now, he left without recovering, the author wouldn't pull a crappy fight between two weak people bluffing. I do think Sakura will be badly hurt though, possibly death. Yeah, it was kept to a reasonable length too.
