in my first playthrough of mgr i didnt know how to parry so i didnt parry anything i just jumped around

The only place the master key will take you that you shouldn't go (at least the first time) is down to Havel, but fighting him is a good learning experience early in the game. The master key does unlock a ton of more helpful s*** though and let's you entirely skip the upper part of Blighttown, which is by far the hardest part of the game.

I just mean you should be playing the game "as it was intended" (ugh I hate saying that) the first time around

being where you should be, having what you should have, etc.

The Master Key doesn't take you any places that will take you ridiculously off the main path, at least your first go. Most people can't kill Havel their first time so that shortcut isn't really an option, and the Blighttown shortcut is pretty hidden. I really just suggest anyone get the Master Key first because it can get you some helpful items early (there's one door locked by the Master Key that just has some firebombs behind it) and hopefully prevent them from quitting before the Taurus Demon.

Yeah that dog kicked the s*** out of me. Also getting out of a stun using WASD is the most rage-inducing thing.

i had it on the ps3 tho not the pc

using a 360/ps3 controller/gamepad is much better than a keyboard because japan cannot into porting for PC
