I never got the Melee opening argument. I always thought it was pretty obvious that the scene has a very skewed perspective and he's a lot bigger than he seems, as evidenced by him lunging at the screen as samus jumps by him. Idk, either way I'm pretty excited to see him as the stage hazard, since I think that represents the character the best way.

Well, Ridley is confirmed as stage hazard, but that doesn't take the chances to other forms of ridley to be playable, specially Teen Ridley / Pre-Ridley, since is more smaller, and would be interesting as a cuadrupedal-reptile fighter, hahahaha, XD

have you ever played soul calibur legends? it's an awful game, so i don't blame you if you didn't. when astaroth battles you as a character, he's a hell of a lot taller than you are, about 1.5x the size. when he joins, he's the same size. if you re-play his level with astaroth and fight himself, astaroth is STILL bigger than you by 1.5x the size imagine fighting meta ridley with ridley that's 2/3 the size. f*** weird, right?
