Well manage to watch some quick clips through the weekend entertainment news, seems to be they come up with a strategy and a different concept than the other Spiderman versions. Hope we can look for a unique experience this time.

You know, I actually read somewhere that Sony and Marvel are thinking about letting the Spider-Man reboot be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and appear in an Avengers sequel. In fact, the Oscorp building was planned to appear in the recent Avengers film, but was still in the design phases when the Avengers' CG-Manhattan was completed...

But anyway, on-topic, at first, I thought this movie would wouldn't be too interesting, then I saw a trailer and thought "Cool!" then another preview and it looked horrible, but now that I've seen the awesome Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon last night, I am hyped. Reviews seem pretty fairly positive of this, but my expectations won't be too high so I don't get too disappointed.

You won't be. It's filled with comedy more than anything else.

Actually I was just slightly disappointed. It was an okay movie. Definitely better than SM3, but probably not as good as SM2. I'd put it on roughly the same level as SM1.

I personally enjoyed it more than any of the Sam Reimi trilogy, and in no small part due to Andrew Garfield being superior in every way at playing Peter Parker when compared to Tobey McGuire.

I don't understand the hate against Spiderman 3. It was really good, and the antagonists had craploads of depth. It completed the trilogy really well.

I thought this topic was about The Amazing Spider-Man movie, not Spider-Man movies in general.

That said, in comparison to the Raimi trilogy: In Amazing, the cheese of the Raimi films were replaced with plot holes.
