I think that Users should not only be not allowed to double post, but they shouldn't be able to. People sometimes simply don't follow the rules.

It's not that big of a deal

If it becomes a problem with certain users they'll be warned

Someone who needs to update their topic shouldn't have to wait for somebody else to post
