I can see Toon Link for the 3DS version since he's been spearheading the DS Zelda games, but I'm not sure if he'll appear in the Wii-U version.

im pretty sure they said they removed them because they were clones
also how will multiplayer work for 3DS version other than online they would need some really good servers

For the 3DS, local Multiplayer could work by having one person host, then have people join that room.
For Online Mode, have it the same way like it was in Brawl.

it was a promotional thingy for a pokemon movie that was coming out iirc and roy was there to advertise the fire emblem game that cam out in japan obviously

but he was kept in the american version of melee so why the heck would they be advertising a Japanese game even in the american release
i know they weren't just going to change the characters but seriously then and pichu thats like saying they only
put mewtwo in for advertising for pokemon the movie and not because of red and blue lucario obviously was advertising

Roy was kept in the American version to advertise the series as a whole, because of his popularity in Japan and for FE7 which starred his father, Eliwood. Hey, it worked didn't it?
