The Wii is gone.
No one plays it anymore. My little brother tries to go online in brawl and Mario Kart. Not a single person.
We need a new Nintendo console.

Nope. They don't pop up, and if they do, it's within a week's range, and his other friends can confirm it too.
That, or Puerto Rico no longer has connection to the server or something.

I don't have bad Internet.
Tried it on other friends houses. Doesn't work either.
Heck, even when they play Black Ops (the Wii users who have no other console), sometimes it gets laggy.
