The basic principle is this: the players are divided into two groups. The Mafia (in this case the death cultists) and the towns people (in this case the survivors). In a small game there would be 2 mafia and about 5 townspeople. The mafia know who else is a mafia member, but the townspeople do not which side everyone else belongs to. The mafia are trying to kill the townspeople and the townspeople are trying to kill the mafia. The game runs on two cycles, during the night cycle, the mafia select someone to kill. During the day everyone votes for some to kill, and the person with the most votes is killed at the end of the day. People can talk freely during the day (by posting on the forums), the townspeople will be trying to work out who they can trust, and the mafia will be trying to trick them. However during the night only the mafia may communicate via pm's, and people are able to do their night actions depending on their roles. The game end when either all the mafia are dead, or the number of mafia equals the number of townspeople.

The role I'm planning to use are as follows, if you play the game you will be randomly assigned one of these, only you will know your role (unless your a death cultist then the other death cultists will know you are one of them):


Survivors - The basic townspeople for this game. They can communicate only during the day in the forum. They get to vote on who to lynch.


Death Cultists - The mafia for this game. They can communicate with pm's at night and each night select one person as a group to kill, they may also select who will make the kill attempt. During the day they have the same options as normal survivors.

Zombie - A dead character. Once you die you become a zombie. As a zombie you can make up to three posts at night, but only in zombie speak. You can't give any useful information in your posts - this is mostly for atmosphere.

Cop - A survivor. Each night they may select one person to investigate and in doing so will discover their role.

Necrotech Employee - A survivor. Each night they may scan one zombie, to discover what their role was before they died.

Necrotech Scientist - A survivor. They may only once at night revify a singly zombie, returning them back to life.

Scout - A survivor. Each night they may follow one person to see what they are doing.

Doctor - A survivor. Each night they may select one person to watch over, any kill attempts on that person will fail that night.



Other things of note:

2)To change your vote you say: Unvote NAME, Vote OTHER_NAME
3)You cannot post anything from an in game pm in the thread.
