I dunno, Nintendo wasn't hot on DLC back in those days, let alone that the game could handle much more data (because of it's size)

I heard some people say that it had to do with file transfers from Melee, like Thundaga said.

That does make sense, and lots of it. Also, consider how many games on the Wii have DLC... the only ones I know of are Just Dance 2&3.

And the only one I can add to that is Samba De Amigo.

Hell, even The Force Unleashed wasn't able to get its DLC on the Wii.

But that doesn't make sense for the other half of the forbidden seven. Dixie, Plusle & Minun, Toon Zelda, Toon Shiek. They surely were nowhere in melee (outside of melee's Dixie trophy). DLC was starting to kick in around brawl's release, and I'm tellin' you that if any game on the wii would have benefited from DLC, it would have been brawl. I'm sure Sakurai realized that, and slapped the placeholders onto there when he realized there wasn't going to be enough time to develop them. Then he would later choose if he should develop them or not (which, as we all know, he didn't).

And because Brawl was a large disk, doesn't mean it's incapable of holding DLC. In fact most times, DLC doesn't have much to do with the disk at all other than reading the placeholders (unless you're Capcom). The Wii got the SD card upgrade not long at all after Brawl's release, which again I'm sure Sakurai knew about. Plus, it's not like the console has NO space at all. DLC characters don't take up much room at all, at least in other games.

But I digress, it's only a theory.

Maybe they arent sure how to go about doing DLC for Smash Bros (yet?), like they said with adding Online mode for Brawl: "There were lots of hurdles to cross" Its possible they will have moreso if they choose to have DLC. As well as causing possible problems with the online mode, if the DLC characters are allowed online.

fun fact
the site where the rumor of the "forbidden seven" was started replaced everything with nonsense pages and trollfaces
basically they made it all up and then admitted it

Brawlers like Toon Zelda and Dixie may just have been characters Ninty worked on during the developement phase (i.e. possibilities for final roster), but eventually cut during later phases, maybe too make space on the disc for characters they saw as more deserving (like Wolf and Sonic). Other then that I haven't 'seen' the data of these supposed 'forbidden six' so I don't know what the fuzz is about, really. I just don't think it was DLC because Nintendo had the mentality of 'put everything you want/can on the disc during initial release' back then. But I suppose that can be argued.

It's the forbidden seven, and I'm not sure what you're on KP because I've seen the data myself.

I have a question. Why is it that when I play on wifi (with everyone on basic brawl) everyone starts to gang up on me

You have been found by the Taunt Party Legion as an outsider who wishes to fight rather than taunt.
To us, you're just another rebel.
You WILL be hunted down and you WILL be KO'd should you decide to go against the rules.
There is no escape from the legion, don't even try to resist!

Anyway, they are part of a taunt party. Their main goal is to taunt and show off cool moves in front of other people. Since killing another taunt partyer is frowned upon, they go to sudden death. Here, they either try to survive the longest without fighting or in most cases, SD so the other taunt partyer wins. You won't always find taunt parties, but they are a very common sight in basic brawl. I've even come across a taunt party in team battle before. Basic Brawl is lame anyway, you're better off playing with friends.

I have a question about wifi too. Why does it have so much lag? Is it high traffic or something?

It was one of the first games with Wi-Fi. It's not too godly.

Apart from not having a good server, if one person has a slow connection, it slows everybody else down so the slow system can be in sync with everyone. A game like Smash Bros needs to verify all 4 players positions 60 times per second. If any systems fall behind the others, the rest have to slow down to allow it to catch up, or else desynching happens.

Sometimes it fails and you get cut off instead, most times you get cut off, its because of this.

I decided to read the tier list for SSBB right now... I feel like crying. Ganon is the worst character ever, I play as him, Bowser, which I also main, sucks as well, Wolf is the worst out of the three. (What) And Jiggly is not good, either. I main all those... I'll go die I guess.

Wolf is actually a good character in my opinion... He's like Fox, just stronger, and his moves are much better for recovery.
