I've heard from critics that they hated how it upended stuff from last jedi.
so that's nice.

the fact that the usual shills are not even praising this movie is actually a real big worry.

Eh, I saw it coming a long time ago. Sequel trilogy's been garbage since the get-go. Since it's part of the Mouse House though, it's still gonna make millions so no skin off their nose. Then again considering the critics aren't showering it in praise yet, this might just be heading into entertaining levels of bad. Maybe even pre-redesign Sonic movie bad?

but this time they don't even get a second chance or a delay,
they released the entire movie, not just a half-assed trailer.
This will be utterly hilarious

absolutely not a "s***" or anything

wasn't bad, just painfully okay and safe. basically exactly as good as TFA was (however you want to interpret that). better than the awful parts of TLJ, never as good as the actually good parts of TLJ

everyone can honestly just pretend this trilogy didn't even exist and their lives will be exactly the same. even getting mad about this is a waste of time

remember kids: if you're going to make a trilogy of films, give it to a person. one person who actually has a consistent vision. that's the main lesson to learn from this

Oh it's just regular sequel trilogy s*** then. Lame. I was expecting something bad enough to be memorable instead of more forgettable Dime a Dozen Drivel.

Specially with how safe and pandering they went with how they mirrored the original trilogy

I perfectly get they did all that in response to the negativity surrounding Prequel trilogy (I grew up with them and love them to death but I fully admit they're objectively awful in many aspects), but it seriously didn't need to be this safe towards pandering towards fans of the original

Really sad to hear Star Wars ended with such a meh direction, there were tons of things that interested me in the trilogy but not enough to salvage how boring these are in the long run


They weren't the masterpieces i was hoping for but they weren't the trainwrecks I'd have loved to watch.
They're just decent movies and that's probably the worst publicity you can give to 3 sequels of such a long running franchise

I can sum up my thoughts on this trilogy with a simple clip from Whiplash

It's just a bunch of "Good Job"s

mediocre as hell.
better then TLJ by a long shot, but TFA is definitely better by a long shot.
