That was amazing, he made a guy who could beat Isai look like nothing.

Isai would likely be the best player in the world if he played campy Pikachu every game, but he was the best for a long time already and there's no monetary incentive so he plays random characters more aggressively. I wish he would play more seriously now that he has a few people who can actually challenge him.

i'm surprised he's still so ahead of everyone else that he can still be sandbagging at the largest ssb64 stage and no one can even really challenge him. it's ridiculous how much time and thought he's put into this game. i still kinda wish he had continued with melee, he mightve become the absolute legend that falcon needed :>

Just a general question out of the blue: Do you think that Link can chain grab in Melee?
A simple yes or no will do.

I highly doubt it. If he can, then it would probably be due to bad DI.

Well, the fact is that Link and Young Link CAN chain grab, but, like others, at low percentages. (Or if some unlucky soul gets rushed by Link or Y.Link and gets grabbed before attacking ) Here's what I know: -They chain grab like everyone else, but BEFORE the hookshot extends itself HALFWAY.-Use Up Throw at low percentages (only 3 times total) -Use Forward or Back Throw. -You can grab them pre-extension (meaning their grabs are like Marth's and Captain Falcon's)

I wasn't being arrogant. I wanted to know if anyone else knew about Link's chain grab ability, other than me. ...I should have explained it more thoroughly, though.

Apparently you don't play as him often... I bet you two don't even play as Mewtwo, either...

well, here's my reasoning. if you are going to play at a competitive level and are starting as late as i am, why would i bother learning to play with characters that i will probably never win with? im fine in brawl with my low tiers since i was playing competetively rather early but in melee, i just started too late. and even still i know for a fact that link and mewtwo cant compare to those at the top. ive seen good players of both characters and they still arent as good as they could be

I have played Link in Melee, and I know his mechanics. I also know a good Mewtwo player at my school, so I know how the two characters work. They still aren't good when compared to the rest of the cast. They both have terrible match-ups against the top-tiers and mid-tiers, so its going to be hard for them to win a tournament.
