That's them posting and then changing the poster to the bots.

Which is why they posted now and not earlier...

I thought Admin could do that, but not basic mod. Well, you were a mod so you must be right.

So this is how the "replacing user with other" thing can be done.

(In the game involving anonymous, it was first Termin X, then Hakker, then Blue)

You missed some of the "Who is online" links

For example, when posting/viewing an actual topic or creating a new one.

Is there a way to tell everyone they can lock their own topics? This occurs repeteadly, and it gets annoying sometimes.

A: "I'm here"
B: "Welcome"
A: "This has been inactive for a while... Requesting Lock."
B: "You can lock it yourself."
C: "Really, I've been a member for 3 months and I didn't know that."
A: " Locking~"

You could say, " Hello and welcome to the forums! This topic will get old, and you're going to have to lock it. Don't know how? When posting, click Lock Topic at the bottom!" And then you're done.

New people don't know how to (I do), and it sometimes gets annoying to say "You can lock your own topics".

Crap, I forgot. Where's the lock topic button? That's true. Well, a weekly post could be sent to every newbie that joined that week saying how to lock topics and everything.

No, that will just turn it into a hassle. Perhaps add it on the rules (sounds illogical, but where else?)?

Nah it's not worth it, I know it might be a little annoying but it's not worth the trouble trying to force everyone to learn about that

Global announcement on how to use MLG's BBcode. I could do it for you even.
