You can use the Dpad to play on the Wiimote

I used that for years just because it was the only option

I have no idea why it isn't an option for classic/3ds

doesn't seem like a very good idea for gc controllers though

I could see it being used as a pseudo C-Stick.

Having an option for the D-pad to be movement this time around with the 3DS would've have been great. It could have offered a bit better control over your character and make moving in the game feel a bit more fluent. I still think that an analog stick is the best standard for movement control in Smash on controls. But the Circle-Pad isn't precise as for Smash as I thought it would fell. Not having an option of switching movement to the D-pad on 3DS (just so people can experiment with how it feel) yeah, it kind of stinks.

I'm still in disbelief that Sakurai didn't make this game compatible with the Circle-Pad Pro. Or put a C-stick like control on the touch-screen, like some other games have done. But then, I guess less people would get the 3DS LL.

the d-pad would not have ever felt more precise than the circle pad because it's not analogue

It would be nice to use the D-pad instead of (or along with) the Circle Pad. I've used Mario's FLUDD or his Super Jump Punch instead of the Cape more than once each. And it always seems to happen off-stage for some reason.

Try getting better at the game? Don't whine about controls just because you haven't given yourself enough time to get the hang of them. We got enough of that s*** with Kid Icarus Uprising.

It's really only a matter of the 3DS's C-pad not always being positioned in relation to your thumb that you think it is. Especially in something as intense as Smash Bros. Mistakes happen.

If mistakes are happening then teach yourself how to prevent them from happening
