Four devs? Well, I guess I don't know what to do, then. The possible ways this could go is: Lynch Townie -> Mafia Townie = 7 vs. 4 vs. 1 vs. 1 Lynch Third Party -> Mafia Townie = 8 vs. 4 vs. 1 Lynch Mafia -> Mafia Townie = 8 vs. 3 vs. 1 vs. 1 Lynch Townie -> Mafia Third Party = 8 vs. 4 vs. 1 Lynch Third Party -> Mafia Third Party = 9 vs. 4 Lynch Mafia -> Mafia Third Party = 9 vs. 3 vs. 1 No Lynch -> Mafia Townie = 8 vs. 4 vs. 1 vs. 1 No Lynch -> Mafia Third Party = 9 vs. 4 vs. 1 This is only considering that the third parties are not killing roles.

If we do have a third-party killer, then our situation would be...
A. Town lynches mafia. We're down to 8 balancers, 3 devs, and 2 third-parties. B. Town lynches townie. We'll have 7 balancers, 4 devs, and 2 third-parties. C. Town lynches third-party. 8 balancers, 4 devs, and 1 third-party. D. Town no-lynches. 8 balancers, 4 devs, and 2 third-parties.
Option A is the most preferrable here, however, the chances of that happening are very slim. That being said, a random lynch would be a suitable option. I really don't think we should no-lynch because it'll put us in a bad situation.
We also have no idea what the third-party roles could be either. For all we know, we could be playing with a fool, on whom we might accidentally lynch on the first day. I'm currently undecided, although I'm leaning more towards a random lynch.
So, I'm going to get discussion going by voting someone who hasn't posted yet.

I'm afraid that this is the only clue you'll get for this puzzle. Also, feel free to ask for vote counts, guys.

1. Why do you enjoy playing forum Mafia? I find discussions are more organized. It's also a bit easier to get ideas across because you have more time to think before speaking. I also like the added challenge of not being able to read body language. 2. Do you prefer starting during the Day or the Night? Day; everyone gets a chance to play. 3. What role(s) do you have the most fun playing as? The only roles I've had are bus and amnesiac. I enjoyed bus driver a bit more. I'd like to give the fool role a try, though. I'm all for attempting to spur discussion, but I'm pretty sure T.Test is a balancer. I feel the same logic used to draw suspicion off of Genis could be used for T.Test as well.

Wouldn't the "weird" term apply better for a third party role?

That actually made me think he was a third party. I mean being a dev or a balancer would be normal right? While being a third party would be, like he said, kinda weird.

Based on his little statement from earlier, it's probable that T.Test isn't mafia.
I suppose "weird" would pretty accurately describe a third-party role; it's a bit hard to tell for sure atm.

1. Well, uh, I usually don't play a lot, because apparently people can read my body language or something. However, I do like the theme presented this time, so I joined 2. Day. It's nice to have a day before someone dies. 3. Cop. Investigating, gaining trust, and helping the town out seems like a nice package. Also, how long do days last? Do they end when everyone votes a lynch?

Days end when a lynch is reached. If the game becomes stagnant, I may be forced to place a deadline to keep things moving. If no lynch has been reached by the time the deadline has passed, the game will go into night phase.
Also, after a slight miscalculation, it would appear that there is one non-balancer role. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Hmm. Never noticed that actually. In that case, I'm Unvoting for the possibility of a fool.

| | | | Fly or Die wrote: Ten town, four mafia and two third-party. This does not seem like very good news for town. Two third party roles could be an extreme threat to town, considering what happened last game with the third-party role; four mafia vs. ten town are also extremely bad odds. Concerning Day One actions, I did a quick analysis of our situation using the above information, assuming there is at least one investigative role and no third party killers: A Town mislynches-Day two, eight town, four mafia and two third-party. -Investigation result to lead lynch if investigator is alive -Almost certain loss for town. B Town lynches scum/third party-Day two, seven town, five others -Investigation result to lead lynch if investigator is alive -Possible town win C No lynch-Day two, seven town, four others -Investigation result to lead lynch if investigator is alive -Possible, but unlikely, town win If we lynch, we have a 3/8 chance of hitting scum/third party, almost half. Thus, I propose we random lynch. As a side note, this set-up is cult sided, assuming cult works like normal. | | | | |
Eh, but that means there's a 5/8 chance of "almost certain loss for town", then, according to you. I say we observe some more, he?
