So this isn't exactly a redo of the roster but a redo of one character
But i think Mewtwo could have also worked as the base for Ganondorf's animations (with some tweaking and replacing the tail attacks with others)

also while looking in Melee's trophies to see who could have gotten in I absolutely forgot Olimar was in since Melee

iirc pikmin wasn't out then though so no way he got in before brawl

also anyone who says ganondorf should be changed in any way is wrong (aside from him maybe having his sword attacks from ultimate from the start). yeah he's a captain falcon clone but he's also super fun and better than any of the other lame ideas for him people come up with. make ganon do warlock punches and s*** in the actual zelda games instead

He's honestly super f*** fun even if the moveset source is questionable so I don't mind him using Falcon as his base
Also the Warlock Punch is honestly the best way to translate his wave of darkness (from that one OoT cutscene before you fight him) into smash

(Also confession time: I kiiiinda wish he had his trident from LttP/Hyrule Warriors instead of the sword but that's just me)

Also following on Pikmin, it actually came out in 26/10 of the same year as Melee so that's wild
I always found it fascinating how Melee was in such a tight schedule when it was being developed that they actually did manage to reference stuff that had come out just months/weeks before Melee's release (Luigi Mansion and Pikmin trophies, GBA stuff in Birdo's trophy (Mario Advance) and that one Kururin game)

Yeah if they ever put another Zelda character in smash my number 2 most wanted one is pigman Ganon using the trident (number 1 is midna riding wolf link)

Pig Ganon is my second most wanted after Skull Kid.
Actually, add Skull Kid to the Melee roster.

this is a troll thread and i dont know how smash movesets work but at the very least itd be cool to give ganondorf a way to swat projectiles.

Or at least a stage based on his game, why does his remix (probably one of the best ones in Sm4sh) have to be stuck on Duck Hunt or Other stages
