Hello, and welcome to McLeodGaming's smiley contest!!

This year, you're able to participate in a contest that could potentially get your hard work ingrained into McLeodGaming for years to come! As you may have noticed already, the forum has undergone a smiley revamp! (if you can't see them, refresh your cache!) Every smiley has been revamped or changed in some shape or form, and we're looking for some more new smileys to add to the family! It can be a still frame smiley or an animated smiley, either are fine! There are, however, a few guidelines you will need to follow. I'll list a few below.


--Guidelines--

1. At the moment, every single smiley is limited to a 15x15 size. That's not necessarily a size restriction, but know that smileys that adhere to the theme will probably be more strongly considered. There's nothing wrong with changing the base color (see or ) but changing the basic size of the smiley may effect how it is judged.

2. The smileys must be sprited. So they shouldn't look something like this: for example.

3. Please do not submit a smiley that was recently cut from the old set. That includes :headbang:, :facepalm: and :snack:. If you want to try and recreate or reimagine them, that's fine, but remember they were cut for a reason. That's your own risk you'd be running.



With that out of the way, let's talk rules. You didn't think we were going to let you do ANYTHING, did you?


--Rules--

- You may only submit ONE smiley. If we have people submitting as many as they wanted, not only would it be unfair for those who aren't as quick, it would be a literal hell for us to judge. Please think of the children.

- Save your file as a GIF.

- Nothing inappropriate. That means no obscene gestures such as throwing up a middle finger.

- DO NOT post your entry in this topic! You will be automatically disqualified. Please PM me your entry when you are 100% confident that you are finished. There is no guarantee that I will take your revised version should you submit it to me a second time.



The non-partial judges for these entries include cleod9 and will be assembled by me, and to ensure that they are indeed impartial I will not give them names when I present each image to them. So if you are worried that your forum infamy will give you a lower chance of winning, please let those worries rest and feel free to participate. They will give their opinion on each and judge off of a rubric.

The prizes are as follows:


1st and 2nd Place: Their smiley added directly to the forum.

3rd - 5th Place: Their smileys are put up in the topic anonymously for a vote among MG's users.

*Positions will be adjusted according to how many entrants we get*


All entries will be due by November 30th, 2013.

*if for some reason all of the smileys submitted are unusable, we are not obligated to accept them. We will either extend the due date, or allocate prizes according to what is submitted. We're certain this wont be the case however, since we know there are many talented people roaming about MG. If only a limited number of them are usable, we reserve the right to not hand out prizes*
