You could always take your discussion of peoples favourite smash game to, oh I don't know, the smash bros thread. Rather than the thread specifically dedicated to the upcoming games and not the games we have already played and which ones we favour most.

I know that but it's been said that Third-Parties are a special case for adding characters. If it was a law that it was specifically about Nintendo's grand history, Sakurai could have easily said no to Kojima. But he didn't because he figured it would be a good idea. Now what's stoping Pac-Man? He's a gaming icon (arguably bigger than Mario), Namco-Bandai is helping with the game (No special treatment means no character is a given), he's one of the few third-party characters to have been in three games with Mario. (Four if you count Mario as the Announcer of Pac-Man Vs. for the Gamecube).

It would make sense if he showed up, so there's no reason to call somebody who expects Pac-Man a "f#%$& idiot".

Pac-Man is also Sakurai's favorite character.
