What? No, no-one thought the 3DS would have better graphics than PS3 or 360. Wii, sure, but not the other two. The Wii U looking prettier isn't a rumor at all, it is something Nintendo has confirmed and demonstrated.

... I'm not seeing it. 1080p isn't in any way an indication of how powerful the console is. It just means that if you hook it up to your HDTV, it'll be able to handle it without quality loss. That's what's meant with "best graphical capabilities".

Also, the rumor I mentioned actually referred to the DSi, I got it mixed up. (and no, it wasn't compared to the home consoles, but to the PSP, which was still stronger at that point, the 3DS outdid it, due to its dual CPUs, though)

I went to the official e3 3DS website and the 3DS as announced and saw that the graphies of MGS and nintendogs was like xbox 360 graphies and also saw a trailer of DOA:D which had amazing graphies,so I decided it and when I saw the graphies,it had between DS and wii graphies.

Anyone who owns a 3DS can tell you that screenshots and trailers NOT viewed on the actual 3DS screen don't do the system justice. A lot of the time you see footage in trailers or posters that looks really flattened out and choppy, but it's only because it's being viewed in 2D, which isn't how it was intended. If you view it on the actual screen in 3D it looks a LOT better.

The bird flying was pretty unimpressive. Half of it was poor water graphics. Games on what have been dubbed inferior consoles have pumped out better quality renders

The bird flying may as well have been real life, and the Zelda tech demo wasn't as realistic, but it was equally beautiful in it's own stylized way.
