I recall he won his first few titles driving for Benetton. Then he became the unstoppable legend when he signed up for Ferrari.

I think it was more to do with the regulations introduced towards the end of Michael's winning streak.

It could well be that. But if those regulations stopped him, what about the new ones? He's not going to be used to a lack of traction control, although it did make last season interesting.
