If your online match desyncs, please do me a favor and tell me:

  • What characters were used
  • What stage was used
  • If you played multiple matches in one lobby or if someone quit your lobby and someone else joined or anything weird like that
  • If items were on or hazards were on
  • Anything else notable you think we should know

If you played multiple matches in one lobby or if someone quit your lobby and someone else joined or anything weird like that: This has happened when it's the first match of after logging out.
If items were on or hazards were on: None
Anything else notable you think we should know: After accepting my opponent in the room and a successfully locked message appears, I still get a chain of request from 3-4 more players. I deny them all and the match with the first request opponent starts, but freezes the first few frames of the match... I'm taking a guess as it doesn't prevent the start of the match everytime, but I'm seeing a pattern of when that chain of after-room-locked requests happens, the match tends to freeze at the start.

EDIT: I'm positive now that chain of request freezes the match. Happens everytime.

If items were on or hazards were on: None
Anything else notable you think we should know: I have a replay of it if it's needed (Also when loading a replay, at the moment where the no contest screen appears, it shows the host of the room winning instead of no contest)

If you played multiple matches in one lobby or if someone quit your lobby and someone else joined or anything weird like that: It often happens after a consecutive number of requests, the game freezes afterwards.
If items were on or hazards were on: Only hazards as I didn't intend to disable them at that moment.
Anything else notable you think we should know: People still point out that moving in the waiting room causes the freezing. And honestly, after actually not moving in the waiting room, it didn't freeze. I don't remember a game where it froze after not moving in the waiting room and vice versa.

I just came across a glitch where I joined a match that said 1v1, but 2 people connected. I guess the host accidentally accepted both of us. The first guy (not the host) disconnected, then I selected Bandana dee, and waited in the waiting room for about a minute and a half. The host disconnected, bringing me back to the selection screen. I was practicing combos, so I accidentally pressed spacebar as soon as that screen came up, and now I'm in the waiting room with no way to get out.

And now I just joined a room where it was going to be a 1v1, but then I spontaneously disconnected.

Then I created a match, also 1v1, accepted 1 player, no other player tried to connect, but then when I clicked the "Click Here" text, the screen just went black.

Am I saying too much? Sorry about that.

Nah, I get desyncs even if I stand still. And i get desyncs even if I only get 1 request. It's something else for sure.

There's one thing I noticed.
It seems everytime I get a desync, the alternate music is playing. Can anyone confirm this?

Anything else notable you think we should know: I'm not sure if this was a desync or a legitimate mistake on my opponent's part, but they SD'd for their first two stocks and disconnected after so I'm pretty sure it was a desync. I have a replay, but I doubt it saved the match properly. I can confirm, the replay saved what I saw.
