So I feel like I haven't improved at all in the past 2 weeks. How should I go about improving as pikachu, what makes a great pikachu player great?

1. Sweetspot the ledge with your recovery every time. 2. I noticed in your videos you go for smash attacks a lot, and don't combo much. Instead of ending your combo early with an easy smash attack, try extending your combo and finish with a gimp or high damage move at the end of the combo? 3. Roll less. 4. More combos. 5. Use projectiles more? 6. Work on spacing/fundamentals
I'm not a pika player but these are just some general things that are really useful to improve.

Maybe try watching some melee matches played by axe, you can imitate a bunch of techniques and different kind of approaches that he uses

Im just working on the Samus and the Naruto MU, any tipps? I know that Fair can cancel their main camping attacks (Missile and Clone Throw) but I really do bad against camping characters. Naruto can get gimped very early, but I dont know how to get him there. For Samus, I have no idea, once my opponents notices Fair cnacels Missiles, he just starts using small Charge Shots, and powershielding with lag is just plain awful.
Another question: Is Up-Throw --> Thunder --> Up-Smash legit on humans? It feels like there is enough cooldown after thunder for them to escape, but CPUs just DI right into it.

I'm pretty sure that you can tech it and just roll away. Up near the ceiling, it might work, but maybe at that point they could just DI to the side and escape it.

So while there is always the opportunity for the player to DI or tech (read the tech, follow the DI), the opponent might also meteor cancel the Thunder. Overall, I doubt it just because the upthrow can be DI'd.

Ok, thanks! A bit sad, but it makes sense and would be pretty much OP. Are Pikas Throws viable at all? I am the guy who likes to grab his opponent and follow up (but I hate the Ice Climbers), so I use grabs very often.

To take a note from brawl, dthrow/fthrow can usually lead into upsmash (fthrow you might have to run a little bit). Upthrow->uair/nair, bthrow offstage->wait for predictable recovery->respond with gimp uair/Dair/nair.

Either that or the normal Thunderspiking, choose one But yeah, Pikas priority is insane.

Yeah, basically any moves with lightning effects eat through everything.

You can even stop a Super missile with fair O.o Kinda freaks me out. But Pikas approach options are just so good. Even Nair has already good priority, running in after a Thunder Jolt also makes up pretty good (besides it gets powershielded or something.)

I think we should just be thankful his uair doesn't have a semi-spike hitbox that sends people behind him, otherwise no one would ever get back. Any semi-spike hitboxes always send in front of him.

Hell even if it get's powershielded half the time itll either roll around the shield or go right through it instead of actually reflecting it. And its pretty damn hard to break too.
