everyone complains about tripping but it only ever happened to me like once or twice

am i just really lucky or something

Yes... Yes, you are.

I'm just hoping that Smash 4 can be enjoyed by multiple demographics like Melee was so that the hardcore gamers won't find it necessary to make a Project M based off it.

And by the way, pretty much everyone agrees that accidental tripping ought to go.

If tripping happens to you a lot, you're just unlucky. Every character has a 1% chance they will trip if performing a dash, Ftilt, or Fsmash. Luigi has a 2% chance. If you trip a lot, you doing these moves way too much.

I still agree that it should go, or at least be toggleable (for more wacky matches).

Eh, tripping never bothered me much, it has honestly never been the cause of my death.
Don't get me wrong though, I got rid of it when I could with codes.

it's not that it's like a constant annoyance there's just no reason for it to be in the game and the only thing it adds is an unneeded extra factor of luck

yeah this too.
Although, it would be fun with it as a meter. Tripping more often than you actually walk.

Tripping happens more with walking than it does with rolling and that's a big problem. We had a Smash Brothers Brawl tournament in my college and apparently in one college match: There was alot of tripping and the match became awkward as hell.

Had it been some kind of feature to prevent players from spamming rolls constantly (For example, if the opponent spams 3 or more rolls in a row without cooldown, the player would trip), i would totally understand and be okay with the feature.
