Yes it is rare, but what also ends up happening when you cape somebody is you end up getting hit.

Mario changelist

Buffs

-I know this move got buffed in Beta, but make all hits connect together, and make it knock upwards to start combos
-His throw animations should be a bit faster
-Make it so that DI-ing Mario's Uthrow doesn't send you away if you DI in
-Make Bthrow a bit stronger
-Buff his hitboxes (on Fsmash and grab especially please)
-Make Fsmash have a bigger hitbox and make it launch you at a lower angle
-Make the cape actually reverse your momentum
-All hits of UpB should connect together, and add a bit of kill power if possible
-Remove the sourspot of the Usmash
-Make Dtilt send you straight up instead of sideways
-Make fireballs deal like 1.5% more damage
-Buff hitstun on Dthrow
-Buff Fthrow power a bit
-Buff Mario's Sweetspot Fair power (Sweetspot should be able to kill at like 50%, not 75%...)

Nerfs

-Nerf the Usmash damage from 18% (Or 19% idk) to like 15 or 16%.
-Nerf Bthrow damage to 11%
-Nerf Dtilt damage from 9% (or 10% idk) to 6%
-Nerf priority a bit on DownB, and power too please (This move is so annoying to deal with sometimes)
-Remove Fireball spam (Make it have some landing lag when landing on the ground)
-Add more knockback growth on Dthrow maybe? (Not sure if this is a nerf or a buff...)

Something cool to do with Mario is to shorthop then fireball twice, and if the opponent is at the ledge shielding, pivot grab into Bthrow at higher percentages. Sometimes if your opponent doesn't see it coming, they will DI badly, or they might die fairly early.

Edit : Why is this thread so dead? :( (another thing, if you grab the opponent before they block the fireball, you can get a little extra damage before the Bthrow)

anyone else feels that Mario needs a decent meteor mash? I know that F Air is one but it isn't really that strong and the start up frames are to long to end a quick combo with. i usually land a few zoning hits b4 Up tilt or Down special for a launch, extend it with up air, and instinctively use f air but as i said it usually misses due to the starting frames and i end up taking dmg as i go down. Any one else feel me, or have any ideas for a good combo ender?

It's the lower hitstun, the meteor smash part is strong enough. The sour spot on the other hand, needs to be stronger.

What? The soutspot is fine. Its actually fairly strong no matter how well your opponent DIs. (DI up, and you can die early, DI down and you'il die even EARLIER). Plus, its a sourspot

Edit : I mean, having a buff to that move would be nice, but it'd litterly turn into a dumb move that kills lightweights at like 70% with good DI.
