My games framerate seems to be fine during regular play except for when someone dies with the hitting the screen (and breaking the glass) death animation. My framerate drops tremendously during this animation, but after it's over, my framerate is fine again. Hopefully you can optimize that death animation so it's not so taxing on frames. Or you could give us the option to turn off the screen shatter death animation in the options menu..?

Also, not sure if this is intentional or not, but Pikachu loses her double jump upon landing a side B on an airborne opponent.

Deku nut's stun can stun even shielded opponents
If the shielded opponent got stunned by the deku nut, the shield bubble will stay in the spot and will go away if the opponent shields.

So, I've found an issue, and this has been a thing since the first version of beta. I'm trying to use the native support for the controller, and I'm using a Mayflash GameCube adapter. My controls are setup and everything works fine. I play a few characters and everything is normal. However, once I start playing as Falco, things get buggy. I start the match with the inability to short-hop. Once I noticed this, I carried over with another character. Sure enough, the same thing happened. The only I've to fix this is to restart the game entirely. Now I'm using the same method I've used with 0.9b, using Xpadder with the controller. However, I would like to use the native support for controllers on this game. Unfortunately, I can't provide any footage and the replay feature isn't exactly fully functioning, kinda like the project m replays. I do recommend that other players try the same thing, however, as I think that this a big issue.

[EDIT] I found that the bug is not just when playing as Falco, rather, it works fine until you use his shine.

Basically I hit Captain frame 1 with the up-b and I got stuck like this, not able to move

When I downloaded it from the site, adobe air gave me the error:

I'm using a mac

So, I was up until 4 am yesterday, downloading the update. Then went to sleep. Woke up 12 pm and completed the rest of the events, until I was unable to progress any further because of this:

You need to a-rank every event to progress.

Still get the exact same freeze as the match starts as before the patch in online mode
