Reminds me that I still need to look at that TF2 demake...

These are pretty fun. I'm still going to go with my own designs for everything, but never hurts to check what other people think of.

BUT INSTEAD OF DOING THAT:


A more synced up version of Jaunt, at the behest of some friends, Maki resting on her haunches (Which is a term I learned, despite constantly doing it IRL...) and a Wax Golem/chubby sentient candle.


Colors based on this:

I envision this as a sort of entrance animation, like Mario's Pipe or Pikachu's Pokeball.
He slides in on some ice before turning around into his idle.


Hopefully part of a long term thing where I actually make sequential animations instead of one offs.

Bit more revamps of the old stuff. A few posing practices turned character designs, one carbon copy of an idea, and some old Trifusions of Alphonse Elric, Samus and Phantom Zelda.
Also, shout to Natalie Dormer's hairstyle. Looking at you, blue girl and 3/4 of the Trifusions.

Love the samus ones, they look so cute c:, keep up the good work in the last style, it seems to be your strong side, don't be afraid to explore with your other styles though.

That's what the Cole thing will hopefully turn out to be. The style may be similar, but at the very least I'm working on animations as well as actual sprites.

Yet again making matching sprites for these guys, in addition to toying with a few of their designs.
Also tried to proportion them according to their theoretical heights.

Casual, Standard, White Mage, Paladin, Invoker, Tome, Barrier and Priestess.

A lot of mostly custom posing practice. A few were complete custom, but Invoker, Tome and Barrier had references that I looked at.

Decided to design Marion's alternate class costumes, and felt like it would be a good opportunity to vary things up based on what they would be used for.

Also, I never posted these here. These are more sprites of Thrilling Intent, the awesome web series I've mentioned previously. I made them during two of their art streams.

Latest in Cole's animations, the combo. Left is mine after a couple of revisions, right is a friend's go at it after hearing it's modeled somewhat after Sagat, hence the enhanced Capoeira overtones.



Also my friend and I had a conversation about how sick it would be to suplex a laser. Naturally, I had to make this happen.

Who's the friend? He's pretty good at animating.

I like both versions, but with the right one the body is put more into the punch which really helps.

Looks sick your getting better at animating. Although I don't like the punching sequence on your animation, it's just ruined by the idiotic smash with both hands at the end, I dunno to me with seems just stupid and unpractical to do that when fighting.
Also the laser thing is sick, you're getting alot better at animating!

The guys over at Pixelation, specifically http://wayofthepixel.net/index.php?topic=17912.0;all They seriously know what they're doing, if you don't mind a lot of explanation and free for all edits/remakes to your stuff.
Mine's still a WIP until I can get it more like his, but I called it there for now cause I needed to work on other background stuff.





I was trying to think of a decent ending that I could animate reasonably well and that was all I came to that wasn't just a third straight punch. It is still a WIP, though, so I guess I'll think about it more.
