Really good plays though semi, it's always really fun watching you play either side. I actually wasn't completely sure what side TOWK was, which is a bad thing LOL. Pro tip if someone who has been laying low for the whole game comes out on the final day and is putting insane pressure on one specific person, you probably shouldn't join the bandwagon if you're town.

I really should have gone with Danny because I honestly had more of a read on him than lightning but I got blinded by the deadline and the lack of any additional votes on lightning. Reading dj is hard for me too : ( I've been out of this for too long lol. JUST MEANS WE NEED TO PLAY MORE!!

We should have random lynched instead of following the cop but we're in a L-1 Lylo situation so because of my pro-town readslist I'm going to quickhammer policy lynch Geno for all his scumtells and WIFOMGUS.

In all seriousness Geno I don't blame you (or anyone else) for thinking all I do (or did) was talk metamafia. Even in this game I was trying my best to stay away from it but still ended up pulling out good ol' WIFOM. I'm just glad my play has improved enough that it's fun to read instead of infuriating lol

For the next game, I agree that role madness setups are fun to play and easier to get involved in. If we can find or make a good one, I'd be all for it.
That being said, the small number of players that our section can currently support makes it very hard to properly balance a role madness game. Open games are susceptible to mass claims unless great precaution is taken, closed games must be scoured for balance issues lest they become terribly one-sided. 194 and I tried designing and running a 6 player role madness setup once before and made some balance oversights that lead to a landslide town victory.

I love designing Mafia setups even more than playing them, so I'll try coming up with some possibilities and propose them for the next game once they're ready. If we do settle on a role madness setup, however, I'd like it to be reviewed carefully before it's chosen.

Role madness is impossible to balance for anything smaller than 12 player setups. Even with 12 players it's already difficult without giving significant negative utility to the town in the way of like Lightning Rods or Governors and whatnot, especially if you wanna have cool abilities.

8P with third party will never turn out well, so if the next game ends up being around that size it probably has to be town v maf

I have a 12-player role madness setup planned which I can easily increase to 14. It's themed around Street Fighter, and might actually work for a smaller player because of the "village idiot" role I designed/used.

It's currently 7:4:1 in terms of Town:Mafia:Neutral. I'll send someone the pastebin, but if all else fails, I can make one of the characters a vanilla townie.

I'd like to host this one, but I won't be available for two weeks. Maybe somebody else could get a game going before then?

if you dislike people being overly meta in their play, that's fine. completely understandable. it doesn't mean that the terminology they're using are buzzwords, though. you being unwilling to look up what these terms mean does not mean these terms have no meaning.
