Nintendo is just showing that they can make a moveset work for whomever they damn well please.
I think that's the purpose of, well, these crazy characters. I seriously got a good laugh out of both the villager AND the Wii Fit Trainer. ESPECIALLY the trainer. Oh God. GET FIT OR DIE! Am I the only one that thinks that the WFT was actually one of the ones MOST suited to being a fighter? It may not have been direct but martial arts and the physical fitness positions are incredibly linked, I think it makes perfect sense to have all the different poses as various attacks.

Poses as attacks? They're mostly yoga poses from what I saw. If I go into a tree yoga position, does that make me attack someone?

See, this is why I'm starting to wonder about this rumor. This guy,and some math. (Note the post time, he predicted it before the Direct) I thought it was shady as f*** and something for pageviews etc too at first, but some bits of it do make sense: -Why show the reveal trailer early and another trailer later on the same day? Because there are four days at E3 - 2/6 characters shown in the reveal trailer, and the other 4 shown one per day. -6 newcomers + 9 veterans = an even 15 characters for the reveal, which smooths out all the odd numbers Disclaimer: I could be wrong Not saying I believe it or anything, but I'm paying a little more attention now. We'll find out tomorrow, I suppose. Who knows! |
