And I made it the default program by accident. Anyone know how to get the Vista .zip program back?

uh, 7zip is a better program by far

It is, but sadly, it won't open some archives. I tried to do that but it doesn't give me whatever it was before. It just gives me Google Chrome, 7zip, and PicoZip.

You don't. 7zip opens pretty much opens every single type of compressed file container and then some.

Well, for some odd reason, the .zip won't open from a certain site (which will not be mentioned) but my last .zip program could do it just fine. I know 7Zip can open pretty much every one, but it seems to have problems with some. And uh, Whimmy, I know this is a stupid question, but what do you mean by that?

I was asking what you were trying to open, but you answered it to thai so it's all good.
anyway, are you sure the file itself isn't corrupted/didn't get corrupted if something went wrong with the download?

Right click > properties > general > opens with: ... (Change...) > select the zip program you want
If it's not there, select browse... and find the zip program you want manually.
And wait, what file extension are the archives you're trying to open? Just .zip?
7zip should be able to open that easily...

Yeah, I thought it would be able to open it easily as well. I've downloaded things from said site a lot, but it's been just recently it hasn't been working. It says something about the archive being corrupted, but when I had the other program (I don't know what the original program was called, it came with the computer, I'd assume it's the default one) it would open just fine, and everything worked fine then too. This also happens from time to time with MUGEN characters.
Hell, the last program never failed me. Like. Ever. So that's why I'm so confused that it won't work.

either reinstall 7zip or re download the files, because the only way the archive can be corrupted is if already was or if something screwed up during the download

Is there a way to verify archive integrity? Like a hash check?

I think the default program is Windows Explorer (the same program that opens any folder window), but I don't know for sure. Try it.
