Checking your analysis, wouldn't spot dodge work? It requires a read, but the guide says it's active on frames 2-11.

From my testing, jab beats grab. This may not be true, but I tested it and I think I'm right.

Interesting. Buffered spotdodge beats the buffered grab, and everyone comes out basically even in terms of frame advantage. However, spotdodge can't normally be buffered so I find it interesting that it works, not to mention that you are supposed to go through some shield startup before you can actually roll or spotdodge if not already in shield.

The frame perfect jab works, so just mash jab and you can probably beat their option.

actually after testing this a bit knee on shield becomes safer if the opponent is at high percent
since the shield knockback is a lot higher they will slide away in their shield
and as such their OOS option will normally whiff, allowing you to punish

so at like 40% kneeing their shield stops them from being able to shieldgrab you as long as you space it reasonably well
this is more effective vs. lighter characters

so this doesn't really work vs. DK until like 80% but works on fox/peach/others at 40%

Wait, shield knockback scales based on percent? That's news to me.

yup shield KB definitely scales with % - very noticeable difference if you knee fox at 0% in shield compared to 50% in shield

also holy crap I just realised bthrow is godlike at low %s

bthrow -> double uair -> regrab is basically guaranteed on most light-mid weights at 10%

regardez: http://gfycat.com/InbornUnhealthyBaboon

we should be doing this kinda s***: http://gfycat.com/HonestMatureBarasingha
(not a 100% true combo but sheik had like 1 frame to escape the knee)

I should mess around in training mode more often

I've been trying to work on some kind of zero to death involving fthrow->uair regrabs. The problem is, unless they are at 15%, they don't take enough hitstun after the first uair so you have to read an option. But, supposing you can do that, I've been trying something like this:
fthrow->uair->read landing option by dashdancing out and grab->fthrow->uair->running uair in the opposite direction->grab

Good find with that bthrow stuff though

Fthrow-uair wrecks DK, because it leads into guaranteed regrab. You can chaingrab DK back and forth using bthrow and dthrow and finish with any grab combo into Knee.

I feel like CF doesnt pack as much of a punch in SSF2 like he does in the real games.

Funny thing, if Captain Falcon does a SHFF to try and grab the edge, he will fall past it every time (even if you make sure you aren't holding down).
