It's aged pretty badly and the other games are better so playing it makes me want to play them instead and I never finished 3D so I might do that instead

I just recently beat BBS: Final Mix and I am still confused as to why Vanitas looks like Sora (when Sora was young at this point, and not even a master) and why Ven looks like Roxas.
Terra's part actually made sense, though.

I'm gonna try to explain this but I'll probably be wrong on some parts because the Kingdom Hearts story is the stupidest thing ever
spoilers
Ven looks like Ven
And Evil Ven aka Vanitas looks like Vanitas
so
shenanigans occur
And now WHOOPS Vanitas is inside Ven who is inside Sora
And Sora grows up to look like Vanitas because Vanitas is inside him, and he looks like Vanitas instead of Ven because ????
And so when Roxas is formed he looks like Ven because Ven was inside Sora, who formed Roxas
I think that's close enough
I love this series but the story gets a little worse every time I hear it

Okay, but Young Sora already looked like Vanitas in the first place...right? And Vanitas wasn't inside Sora yet, was he?
And what shenanigans exactly?
The Ven explanation sounds pretty logical, though

Actually Vanitas looks like Sora, because Sora's and Ven's hearts connected when Sora was born essentially saving Ven's life. There's more to that story but that's the only info needed for this discussion. _________________ im done

yea
vanitas and xion work in the same way, people see them differently due to their heart's connections
also in Days you can see a lot of meetings with only Xigbar, Xemnas and Saix even though people like Xaldin and Luxord are still around
nice foreshadowing

Wait, that can't be right, right? Ven and Sora don't dual wield by default (we know Sora can in Drive), so is it because Roxas is connected to both Ven and Sora, who both each wield a Keyblade? now I'm more confused than ever

Roxas is using Ven and Sora's Keyblades. If Sora, Ven, and Roxas somehow all coexist its assumed Roxas would have no Keyblade. When Sora dual-wields he's using Ven's keyblade as the second one. It can also be assumed that Sora won't be able to dual-wield if Ven wakes up. _________________im done
