I really hope he's in too, having him there was cool as f***, but that just seems like a tricky situation. Revealing him any other time would feel weird too and kind of awkward

Yeah. But I mean, it's less about PS3's success and more about Konami releasing a game I think. Either way yeah it's a bit strange. Still hopin' though.

Did I say Rocket's Meowth? Pikachu is the smash game's aren't Ash's, but it's still a Pikachu. Besides, in Smash, almost anything can happen.

Waluigi is requested a LOT in Smash games, though he's widely hated on by the hardcore fans. Meowth has a pretty big fanbase as well, and many want the Miis despite the fact they'd be overused.

tbh I never see people speculate Meowth all that much in like, YouTube Smash speculations videos or wishlists etc. I think you are exaggerating the girth of his fanbase.

Also keep in mind that Smash has- up untill now- always drawn it's pokémon content from the original source material- the games. The anime has never ever been mentioned or refered to thus far (with the exception of the special Meowth trophy refereing the special movie 'Meowth's Hardcore Dubstep Metal Slayer Part'y or w/e). I doubt that they will suddenly take a character from the anime (as Meowth is not that big 'a name in the games themselves) and put it into Smash.

Yes, Smash 64 was supposed to have Bowser, Peach, DeDeDe, Pit and Mewtwo etc yes.

And guess who all got in Smash and who did not? Not saying Meowth is deconfirmed forever and obviously you're entitled to your opinion and if you want to believe he'll be in then that's fine, but I personally don't see it happening.
