Now that I think about it, I did vote for her but I wasn't expecting her to be in smash at all, if I recall correctly didn't the director of Bayonetta say he was never going to put her in smash? I think he said it in a tweet or something after so many fans tweeted to him about it when the ballot came up

From numbers alone, Marth and Lucina sideBs link better into the finishing hits. Not what they needed but not a nerf. Ganon got better damage, more reliable nair and more super armor on Warlock Punch. Definitely a buff.

Fire Emblem is growing and is one of nintendo's more popular franchises. Of course they're gonna include reps from the series in smash.
Did we really need it? No, but it's not a bad thing. Get over the whole "ugh anime swords wtf" s***. It's a cool unique character in the end no matter what.

First off, people have every right to be disappointed. How you feel about that cannot possibly matter any less

Secondly, Corrin is a japanese-looking humanoid character from the Fire Emblem series who fights with a sword and has a counter down B. All of those things pop up a LOT in Smash already. There's also the huge fact that his game has not been released outside of Japan, so most likely no one on this forum (and very few english speakers in general) will be familiar with him or his game

Yes, he has unique moves. But he also adds to an already large pile of characters all very similar to each other, while having literally no fanbase behind him (in the west, at least). Even if he's fun, his inclusion over other characters is disappointing and honestly downright f*** boring

Corrin is forced in to boost sales of fates in the west, a la how Fire Emblem became popular from Marth in melee. Nintendo is such a f*** s*** company so them making him pit Corrin in should come as no surprise,but no banjo kazooie or goku is f*** lame.
