Things I've noticed about Waluigi

Specials:

The dice block has 6 options: 1 is a very very very weak hit, 2 is a windbox, 3 deals poison damage (not sure how much), 4 stuns for a long time, 5 grounds(i have only seen in the trailer), 6 is an explosion. The odds for each one are not 1/6. I assume the lower numbers are more likely since I've seen more 2s than anything else, and 5s have been the least common. And the dice block will disappear after a set time if it doesn't hit an opponent

You control where the purple missile goes(i can only assume that's what his side-b is called)

His up-b is very strong, and it makes the homerun sound effect when the final hit connects

The piranha plant stays out for a set amount of time or can be removed by anyone(including the wah who placed it) if the attack it enough, and this seems to be based on how much damage is dealt to it, since it took multiple waluigi dtilts to get rid of it, but a fully charged luffy fsmash killed it immediately. And the piranha seems to have 3 different throw, back - up - forward. And it throws in one of these direction depending on where waluigi is in relation to the piranha.

Other moves I've noticed stuff about:

Nair, Fair and Bair both seem to be able to kill

Nair and Dair have sex kick properties (have a strong initial hit and a weak late hit)

Dash attack has very very little base knockback and knockback growth, so on paper it seems to be a good comob starter, but it also seems to have a pretty large amount of endlag.

Three of his throws weren't shown in the trailer. But were shown on stream. His Dthrow shoves the opponent on the ground then Wah kicks them. Upthrow is just like Luigi's. His fthrow is a spin-throw (similar to his bthrow) and it seems to be stronger and send at a more horizontal angle than bthrow

Dtilt does indeed send down and can be used to spike someone at the ledge

Dair seems to act a bit like sonic's or zss's dair where he also goes down

Also, his crotch chop is his victory pose.

and speaking of victory pose, he gets a unique victory theme based on the waluigi pinball theme.

The McCleodGaming twitter confirmed that the side special is called "Purple Tornado" and homes onto targets

Odd. It isn't really what you'd expect fom a "Tornado". More like a Torpedo instead.

If anything, the Up-B should have Tornado in the name. Γ Tornado maybe?

Waluigi looks really fun

Btw since Wah is now considered a Mario character, that means he'll be grouped with the Mario cast (before Yoshi's slot at least) in the CSS.

It'll be "odd" seeing Waluigi's slot placed before Wario.

He will be after Wario.

Is it strange that I'm sad for Waluigi doesn't having his mustache attack (up throw) or his final pose after his down smash from the brawl mods? You may judge me

He looks very fun to use. The dice and the plant can lead to great combos, and that UpAir spike is amazing, especially to use offstage. Also the piranha plants can fight each other lmao.

God this is legitimately my favorite SSF2 announcement in recent years, everything I wanted for his moveset is there and he's got so much personality into him i just jsknsdfdbhkfbkbdf love it


Also some people have started questioning Waluigi's Dice Roll move as RNG due to recent stuff (Hero) but I think Waluigi's is definitely a more effective way of introducing RNG, given the attack is virtually the same, it just has a different effect. Attack is predictable so unlike Hero, you don't gotta struggle with a lot of unpredictable random attacks, but rather a perfectly dodgeable attack that punishes you if you're hit by it
