How well does the Gamepad work as a screen? I've heard some people say it's a battery hog in that mode.

I've also heard that it uses HDMI wires for the video output, and my TV sadly doesn't have ports for them. Will regular composite cables work?

In other news, if you get a USB controller converter, you can play Gamecube games while in Wii mode. Not too big a surprise, really.

A Gamecube controller for the U would be great, and seeing how they want to put Gamecube games on the Eshop, I think there's a chance for them to make one.
