I'm sort of pissed how they got rid of the cool moments in the story (like Raditz just sidestepping Gohan). I know it's supposed to be special for the game but it's like saying "Oh, see that part you liked? It didn't happen because time travel." Hopefully it won't be as buggy as bunch other Dragon Ball games.

how many times have you experienced that part you liked in DBZ video games already
I haven't even bought any of the games since BT2 and I've still seen the real story more times than I ever cared to It could use some shaking up |

I still want to see a kid with a monkey tail headbutt his alien uncle.
But as long as it's balanced I'm fine it, even the fact it looks an awful lot like that fan dragon ball game.The one where you fly around in 3d and shoot explosive blasts and transform in real time. And use different special moves with a hotbar. And use super speed on the fly. And make custom characters. And play on a huge map. And run on land, and swim in water. And spin jump. |

I agree with Term. Every Dragon Ball game has followed the same story and reheated it again and again by adding one or two new characters from the movies or anime.
This is different but it's done with help from Toriyama and has obviously taken cues from Dragon Ball Online and Dragon Ball Heroes. With Dimps helming this, I have every faith that this game will live up to my expectations. The alternate story possibilities are endless. Imagine if Raditz's survival causes a greater shift in the timeline and he trains Gohan to be a destroyer of worlds. Vegeta could end up a pseudo warlord of Earth after defeating the Z-Fighters, who awaits the arrival of Frieza and plots his downfall. Future Trunks never leaves the past and is forced to use the Potara Earrings with Gohan after Super Buy absorbs both their fathers. Yet we know that it'll end with the custom character restoring the timeline, so you'll you get to see monkey tail boy using his head as a battering ram against his alien uncle. But until you restore it, enjoy the ride. |
