Gamemaker help! (Now with FAQ)

how do u make an object charge (gain speed, do more damage) but only hav it last a certain amt of time?

u use the time command, then change the value of the collisions

ook, that make no sense

im trying to make a guitar game (like guitar hero)

so i need something to make is to that when one or more notes come into the certain circles, u get pts.

Well, I've gotten the basic platforming physics down. But I'm haveing a problem getting animated sprites to move as I do an action.

You see, I've just completed a side-scrolling platforming tutorial, but it only showed me how to use single, unanimated sprites, now that I am using animated sprites, the the animation moves when it is not doing an action, and stays still when it is doing an action. I would like to be the other way around. But how?

Please help!

hmm... how to explain this...

go to the sprite and see how many sprites are there. (say its 20)

then go to the change sprite action and in the "sprites" area (in the middle) you'd put 0-19. (always start with 0)

uhm, he dusnt want a certain amount of jumps (i think), he wants jumps. its a kirby game, u can fly to the moon if u wanted (if theyd make the screen go to the moon)
