Moving characters with key commands but everytime i put in code it gives me errors

where are you putting the code.

No more spam please.In AS3 I think you can only put the code in the frame but not sure.I only use AS2 so I cant help you very much.

It's a bit surprising that you all aren't saying "NOOB! READ THE RULES! DON'T JUST ASK RANDOMLY HOW TO MAKE FLASH!", especially considering who made the topic...
