Wario Land stage would sound nice. DLC Stages anyone?

Miiverse will be a DLC stage. Other than that, I'd say hold your horses, Skippy. I'd much rather that they get all stages that they want in the game straight away, and they probabaly will.

Yeah

I'd like for there to be some DLC for the 3DS stages on Wii U, though. No reason we couldn't have Arena Ferox on there, or Yoshi's Island, Corneria or Prism Tower.

I was hoping we could transfer stages of the 3DS or even buy them as DLC since it takes time to make and they probably won't be able to finih them by the time the Wii U version is out

on a side note, this proud young man got his reaction video retweeted by Sakurai

I know it might feel like that now and all, but I think that as soon as you get into the WiiU version you won't really miss those stages, there are a lot of stages with similair concepts but prettier graphics on the WiiU. I can understand that you like the aesthetic of the mentioned stages but I don't think they'd really add anything new to the diverse stage roster of the WiiU.

This "diverse" roster includes both Town & City and Smashville, for the record

Being similar is not the same, though. Orbital Gate Assault is not Corneria, and its changed aesthetics, flipped Great Fox and extra ships to fight on might make it a less enjoyable stage. Plus this game has no answers to Ferox, Yoshi or Prism, just including the ones I already mentioned.

Of course I'm not going to spend my time thinking "I wish we had x stage", but more good stages is good. The 3DS has some good stages and was developed with this character roster in mind. So... . . ????

Yeah but like, let's take Lumiose City for example; which is a moving tours stage. The WiiU version has a moving tours version with changing platform patterns in the form of Skyloft. I'm not saying that the stages are entirely the same but I feel like having multiple tours stages rmeoves the novelty of the concept pretty quickly. same with Arena Ferox changing layouts mid-fight á la Kalos League/Colliseum (yes, I know the latter is a walk off yes).

So again the stages aren't 1:1 but there are similair concepts in both versions, I'd say they purposely designed the overall structure like that. I feel like if you carry over most of the stages then it's not gonna feel as new as one would think.

But then again I mean this is Smash and Smash is always exciting no matter what so

Maybe because the whole reason there being different stages was to make something exclusive for people who don't own a wii u? Did you think of that? That's one reason.

Wii U has four tour stages currently. Five if you count Port Town

I see what you're saying but I don't agree at all

Well yeah fair enough I mean I won't deny that at the end of the day I agree with you that all the extra content we can get is good, really. Like, Smash stages rarely dissappoint in my opinion. So far only Balloon Fight and Hanebrow didn't really tickle my fancy.

supported

it'll be in the top 10 worst in the series unless it makes a dramatic change halfway through

even then it still won't be good ;-;

mightyXtreme wrote:

that'll be a no then

1) there is already exclusive content on the 3DS version
2) i never said i wanted all the stages in both versions
3) some stages only work on one version anyway, since they were designed with that version in mind
4) more content cannot possibly be bad
5) keeping a perfectly valid stage on one version only for arbitrary reasons is stupid and lowers the overall quality of both games
6) why am i responding to this

yes, i know they gave the two games separate stage rosters for a reason
but adding some more crossover later as dlc would be cool and it's something i'd pay for
etc
