I love Ness so much in this update.

So uh, can we all acknowledge the fact that Ness' backthrow is not even top5 in this game which is wrong considering his Backthrow being the best backthrow/throw is a signature of the character in EVERY SINGLE SMASH GAME?
It's literally what defines Ness in every single smash game, please, if you guys kept fox shine then keep Ness' Signature Back throw.

There are lots of characters who barely die at 140 from the ledge with good DI, 140, from the ledge.

what's the point of them not dying when he has a lot of follow ups anyway.

Wait what? you cant followup from a bthrow at the ledge at 140, you just edgeguard, and whats the point of not dying? well, i mean, his bthrow its suposed to be a Killthrow, like it always has been, always, not a single game where it isnt, thats the point.

Exactly, too late, and hes testing with CPU DI? Now try with Top Player DI, his Bthrow needs to be what it has always been, the best bthrow in the game and a kill confirm at a lower percentage, heck even Samus has a better bthrow how does that make sense.
Regarding beta ness the only prominent changes i suggest would be:
-Give his bthrow back, its ^HIS thing
-Make him able to snap the ledge, yes, he goes really far in recovery, but the landing lag just entirely leaves him vulnerable to any edgeguard, add that to the fact his pkthunder has no priority whatsoever and its too predictable and you have easier edgeguards.
-Maybe make his uthrow a combo starter? its annoying to depend every single time on dthrow to make combos, 9b Ness had uthrow for mixups and now we have to rely solely on dthrow for combos which makes the Ness reps to be seen as spammers when its literally our only viable option

I did it in training mode and DI'd to the stage's direction, fyi.

And thats exactly what Bad DI is, Good DI is when you DI up-left/up-right to the ceiling corner blast zone during the first 5-8 frames of the Bthrow and then you DI down towards the stage, because The Top Corners are harder to reach than the ceiling or the side blast zones. So you aint applying good DI, and that is what's killing you so early, i can hand you tutorials on DI if needed.

At least in certain situations, DI up is even better. Ness bthrow kills Puff at 100 if she DIs towards the corner, but doesn't kill her with straight up DI.
