Its an anime made by the same people who made FLCL, Gurren Lagann, and all those other great animes. I just started watching it and if your a classic rpg gamer, you will LOVE IT! These two kids get stuck in this world that is exactly like an rpg. A girl pops out dressed like your generic slime enemy and a mole walks by holding a sign that says "SLIME APPEARED!" followed by a list of attacks for them to do. Its really funny, the two characters are just like WTF x_x. Its pretty crazy. Anyone else watch it?

I have never heard of this anime, but it does sound interesting. Since it's made by the same guys who made FLCL it's bound to be ammusing. I'll give this anime a shot. Unless it will be very short like FLCL...

The mere possibility of Gainax just makes me curious.

Yes. One of the best animes ever, if a tad old. I definitely, wholeheartedly, in full confidence, with money betting on it recommend this series.

I just watched the first episode in both the Japanese and English dub. I have one little question about the English dub...
wtf is with the Southern accents?...

It replaces Kansai-ben or the Kansai regional accent. Go figure

The English dub for the series equates the Osaka dialect with Southern American English. A pamphlet included in the first DVD volume of the series states that a Texan accent was determined to be the English equivalent of Kansai-ben because of the similarities shared by both districts in terms of cultural significance and portrayal in the media. Further supporting this decision is the "cowboy"-style appearance of Sasshi's hat, as well as the frequent use of banjo music in the soundtrack - all things that Western viewers would, incidentally, associate with Texas. And doesn't it make them sound awesome? I love Osaka (Azumanga Daioh), Sasshi, and Arumi's voices. Much better than the stale American accent.
