Alright, yesterday, I spent all day in the hospital due to having the flu and the people there thought I had a problem with my appendix.

Well, I got home, stressed out, and went to bed. Today, I turned on the computer, and decided to play my Wii. The strangest thing is, my TV wouldn't turn on.

I checked if it was plugged in, it was. I realized the 'Stand By' button wasn't on. I tried plugging it in again into the same spot. Nothing. Tried 2 different spots. Nothing. I plugged my Wii into the same spots as the TV. It works fine, so it has to be the TV.

I tried looking at where the wire started, it was kinda loose. I can't take it out and put it back in. I just got this TV a month ago. Anything that could make it not work?

I'm no expert but have you tried fiddling with the remote instead of the power? Hell is there even a power button? I rarely keep my TVs on standby.

I'll try to find the remote now.

Edit: Didn't work.

@Kyuubit: ... Okay, this is an extremely stupid question; what's a fuse?

Fuse is kind of a failsafe if something dangerous happens electrically. When it's not blown, it's necessary for the transmittance of electricity to appliances, such as your TV. But a large amount of energy will blow the fuse, and that will stop electricity from going.

Dunno if that would really apply to a TV though. A blown fuse would probably turn off power for a lot of appliances.

From the description you gave, though, I agree that there's probably something wrong with your TV. I'm willing to bet the TV itself isn't damaged - it's probably something small like damaged wiring or something, which would be a cheap fix.

Huarghh! Guy, these techno-logical problems you always seem to be having are something you bring to your guardian(s), not a bunch of kids on an internet forum~ There's no point in practicing this kind of self-sufficiency so early in your potentially very long, satisfying life!

My mother doesn't even know how to set up a Wii.

@Nobody

Oh! That kind of fuse! I thought Kyuubit meant something that was connected to the TV. -Fail-
And it's not the fuse. Everything else in my room works fine.

EDIT: The 'wire that was lose' that I was referring to was the AC wire. It's loose inside the TV, but fine in a plug in the wall or such.

that's not what is inside the tv

ffs i'm not that much of a technology geek but holy f***

back to your problem, you will have to return your tv -or- attempt to take it apart and fix it yourself, which means you will need to know how to cut wires and re-attach them and s***.

There is one side of that cord that goes inside of the TV, and another that plugs it into the wall.
Just like gaming systems. Make sense?
