Honestly though the fact that he fits the LBP style with his gimmicks is why I think he looks fun. Especially considering that in the games most of the time you'd avoid conflict and find ways around it.

That being said, I'm still hoping for when they announce Lightning/Cloud, but Sackboy will be what I'm playing in my head until then.

Honestly I think Kratos or Spike would fit my playstyle better, maybe Parappa, but Sackboy looks too fun, and before that I was fanboying over Sly.

@the Sly thing: Supposedly, in Sly 4 there is an enemy named 'El Jefe' who is building a gigantic tower for whatever unrevealed purpose. Gameplay showed Sly fighting him on a rather mecha-y tower IIRC so it may be a nod to that (I also don't recognise the helictoper design so that might also be from Sly 4 too?).

But let's not forget that it's only the top of the tower that gets the Sly-theme, and Sly himself frequently creeps around on rooftops and the like, so it might just be a reference to that.

Anyone think we'll get to see The Prince from Prince of Persia?

Thats right, i totally forgot about that guy, he he should be in this game, he could have a very interesting moveset. Maybe one of his supers could involve time manipulation. Slowing time, stopping time, or maybe even rewinding time, though i dont know how they'd work rewinding in though.

I have an idea. Say his character gimmick is that if your about to take damage from a Super, if you press his Super button with proper timing he'll rewind time to before he got hit and then dodge out of it. I don't know if one or two bars would make more sense for that though...

So it would be like a counter attack then

Yep. It'd give him the Prince of Persia feel to it, and give him a rather dickish yet truly unique gameplay mechanic. Really as long as they balance the timing for it and how much of the super gauge it costs there's truly nothing to lose.

If The Prince gets in, I think the moveset will focus on the Dagger of Time and Dark Prince and that his design will be from The Two Thrones I honestly would love to see The Prince appear, I kinda doubt it tho, but this roster has done weirder stuff.

very skeptical about this
the roster seems so thrown together
not to mention chances are high this is just a last-ditch effort to save sony's consoles
otherwise they would just wait until they developed more recognisable franchises that made sense in the same game

^That is the funniest post ever. Even more so in a Super Smash Flash forum.

Anyway, SuperBot responds to Dante criticism

We understand that different people have their own favorite version of Dante. However, once players sit down and try him out they will realize that he’s simply a blast to play!

Dante is one of the more technical characters in the game and uses a special cancel system to perform combos. Players can alter their attack string mid-combo depending on the situation; for example, you can cancel into a parry to stop an incoming attack, dash out of the way of harm, or transition into a powerful ender for maximum AP gain. You won’t be disappointed when you try him out!

Also, it seems all the characters are unlocked from the start

Its gonna tire out a player for a while after he/she tries out all the characters

Why no unlockables?

Maybe you could turn it into them saying that all the characters they've revealed so far will be unlocked from the start. What kind of game has a mashup of characters with none hidden?

..UMvC3?

I think it's fine, personally. I've played games where everyone's unlocked from the start and they still ended up fine.
Three of those games are Arc System Works, but eh, what the hell, it should still be fine, yeah?

But still, it would've been nice had they made some of the characters hidden. It would add more replay value, to be honest.

I'll never get over this.

Unlockable characters make fighters (more) fun, dammit.

I got a lot more mileage out of SFIV than I did Super.
