Project: Pantheon was created in 1943 as a means of creating super soldiers to fight against the Nazis in World War Two. Results were largely unsuccessful and the program was ceased in 1995 a few years following the Cold War. The War on Terrorism saw the reestablishment of Project: Pantheon in the year 2002, though it was not until 2019 that geneticist Hiroshi Shizuma discovered the Infinity Code, a series of special proteins in human DNA that allowed him to augment certain abilities in those who had a particular genetic predisposition. Thus, in the year 2021, the first human subject Sebastian Hayward, proved to be an immediate success.

In order to screen for others with the similar genetic trait, the military adopted a protocol requiring blood from all military personnel. Despite the expansive pool of genetic information provided, only a very small only number of individuals were found to have the correct DNA that would respond to the Infinity Code. Thus, Generation I of Pantheon was created; their powers specialized in reconnaissance, and desert survival, designed particularly to combat the terrorist threat in the Middle East. Sebastian Hayward (Titan), Tyler Williams (Apollo), Vicki Lee (Iris), Aaron Anderson (Sand Storm), Rachel Hanson (Circuit), and Janelle Smith (Calypso), were to be sent to the Middle East as an attaché to the army, though General Gallagher stayed the command on the pretense that the team was not yet ready. In truth, he merely wanted more of these super personnel to be created, resulting in Pantheon Generation II in which Manuel Ortega (Diamonte), Jaime McQueen (Vibrato), Natasha Dawson (Fly Girl), Terry Ferrolini (Whiplash), and Henry O'Connor (Wild Thing) were selected to join their team. These powers in particular were not tailored for desert combat, but rather General Gallagher wished to see what resulting powers could be created. All 11 members were trained as a team in secret up until their unveiling in 2027.

In the year 2027 the United States of America unveiled Project: Pantheon, a superhuman emergency response team developed by world renown geneticist Doctor Hiroshi Shizuma. Initially, reactions were negative; the international community, specifically China, North Korea and Russia, felt threatened by these super soldiers; and within America, protests against the violation of nature rose in various communities. Nevertheless, Project: Pantheon continued with the promise that no further heroes would be created, and the current team governed with strict regulations limiting their movement and capacity to act.

In 2032 Mount Rainier in Washington State violently erupted. Pantheon intervened, saving hundreds of thousands of lives in the process, as well as preventing further damage caused by the volcano. The event was wildly reported throughout the world, including Pantheon's involvement, and society came to accept the heroes.

The subsequent years were filled with Pantheon actively taking part in global disturbances, remaining loyal to the United States, though dealing with missions concerning the United Nations. Thus, their headquarters were constructed of the three uppermost floors of the One World Trade Center. Their successes throughout the world made them incredibly popular, becoming international celebrities at the height of their glory. However all of this would change in the year 2044.

On July 19th 2044, Sergeant Sebastian "Titan" Hayward, the leader of Pantheon, snapped. In a fit of what was believed to be a mental breakdown, he murdered the other ten members of his team. He has since been AWOL and the world mourned the loss of its first superheroes, though in due time all returned to normal.

That is, until May 15th 2054, Manhattan has found itself under attack by an unknown creature.

As the offspring of Pantheon, you were hidden from the world. It was uncertain whether you would develop abilities, though in time they were revealed. Some of you developed them at an early age, while others were triggered with the onset of puberty. Regardless, you were taken into military custody, where you were studied and trained in the use of your abilities. Life varied from one child to the next; living in various locations, from extremely remote military bases, to urban centres. Some were raised to be weapons, others to live merely as children and conceal their abilities.

As news rapidly spread at the death of your parents, whether you knew of them or not, the military took preventative measures to secure your safety. In some cases, you were sent to other countries, living in plain sight, or hidden in underground military bunkers. Apparently their assumption was correct, for shortly afterwards, Titan returned to the facility where Project: Pantheon was conducted, and destroyed all of the revolutionary technology developed by Doctor Shizuma. Fortunately, you remain safe, a hidden gem of the US military.

Appearance: Bertók is around 6'2'', and looms over people like a limber crane. He shows none of the physical traits of his father, looking more Magyar than Irish, with piercing dark eyes. His hair is dark and slicked back. His sharp jawline and rigid face are clean shaven. He dresses very well, betraying his rough past, wearing fine double breasted suits with ties worth more than some jewellery and exquisitely polished black dress shoes. He carries a few mirrors ranging in size in pockets within his jacket, not for vanity, but for his power.
Personality: Bertók is a quiet, lonely man who spends more time writing poetry in silence than speaking to his peers. He is distant and aloof, seemingly uninterested in even the notion of love for either gender, yet he dresses in such a formal manner that he ends up attracting more attention than he cares for. However, he knows how to keep face in social situations, not really coming out of his shell, but creating a fake persona so that he can survive the encounter. His entire personality is a reaction to the position of his mother, especially following his abandonment, and the perceived weaknesses of his father, whom he got to know through the government.
Power(s): Bertók has two shadows: the first from the sun, the second a reflection only seen in mirrors. This clone does not actually exist in reality, but Bertók can create illusions from reflections, creating two of him. He can also create other objects that are in reflections by allowing his second shadow to "enter" them and merge with them. When he creates the illusion of the item that was in the mirror, his second shadow rests inside it.

While Bertók believes his abilities to stem from this shadow that inhabits mirrors, he is in fact an extremely powerful psychokineticist and has a heightened ability to manipulate silicon. It is believed that his present understanding of his powers is more of a simplified psychological crutch, as much of the nature of his abilities is subconscious rather than active as he believes. Truly, wrapping his mind around the true nature of his abilities would render him insane. His brain constantly emits neural signals within a kilometer of himself, effectively fooling all brains within the perimeter that what they are witnessing is real. Thus, through a mixture of mental illusions, psychokinesis, and refined silicon manipulation stemming from the extremely strong electrical field generated by his brain, he is able to produce powerful illusions expressing a vast array of abilities depending on what has been reflected in his mirror. Which is why it appears as though he creates quick illusions through reflections in his mirror.
Skills: Bertók never learned his mother tongue, but compensated for it by becoming an accomplished Esperantist and a popular poet of the language.

Surprisingly commanding, he will take charge when nobody else seems to be up for it. He dislikes using his power, as he feels it is too dangerous and cruel to be used regularly. He has never acted as a superhero before because of this. He is intelligent and thoughtful, and oftentimes solves people's problems just for their sake.
Power(s): Austin is able to control the neural activity in his brain to transmit electronic signals to other brains through his own bio-magnetic energy field. These electronic signals interact with other brains to create a plethora of effects on the mind. He can mentally stimulate parts of the limbic system in order to trigger an assortment of emotions in his subject. He can gain temporary control over the brain's frontal lobe, exerting mental domination over the individual, through verbal suggestion. He can determine whether an individual is telling the truth by sensing the neural paths working as the individual speaks.

His most physical powers however are manifested through his ability to generate circular electrical force fields with a perimeter extending up to five meters around himself, though hindering the rest of his mental abilities at the same time, and his ability to cause individuals to succumb to violent seizures by touching their forehead. Oftentimes people are disabled for a time afterwards as a result of the seizure, either feeling confusion, temporary amnesia, or limited body movements. These two particular powers are augmented in areas with strong magnetic fields.

Her strong body is the result of long hours of martial arts training, firm and unyielding.

Personality: Tailin is a hyperactive in-your-face type of person, happiest when she is surrounded by friends. Full of energy, she possesses a fierce competitive streak and is always on the lookout for strong opponents to challenge. Tailin has difficulty concentrating for extended periods of time, unless the subject matter interests her completely. If this is the case, it is nigh-impossible to draw her away from whatever she might be doing. She is rather headstrong, and will not hesitate to start a fight with anyone that disagrees with her. Though she is not particularly gifted with words, her body language is usually enough to convey her powerful emotions. Some would call her immature, and they would not be incorrect. Her heart, however, is usually in the right place.

Power(s):Tailin possesses the ability to store kinetic energy within her body and release it through her limbs for split-second intervals. Thus, she can deliver a metric tonne of force in a single punch, or traverse short distances nigh-instantly.

In order for her mind to process the speeds at which she travels, she has developed an acute sense of awareness during these momentary "jumps", allowing her to perceive what is occurring in what she describes as slow motion for herself, when in actuality the flow of time is uninterrupted. For onlookers, they merely see her moving quickly; dodging bullets or reversing the path of a missile are par for the course. Prolonged use of this ability however results in severe migraines.

Personality: Ramon is the kinda guy who couldn't be serious if serious introduced itself to him. He's going to be funny and try and make jokes and friends and all that. He CAN get annoying at times with his constant jokes and lack of seriousness. Although he mostly has a positive outlook, he can see when things are becoming serious. He also likes to steer clear of making enemies.

Powers: Much like Sand Storm, Ramon's brain waves are capable of causing fluctuations in his natural magnetic field creating electrical magnetic paths that mineral particles are attracted to, however the frequency produced is not substantial enough to attract metallic minerals such as iron or copper.
