I love him. His increased air speed makes up for the lack of range he had in 9b. And now he has more reliable kill options and a slightly better recovery. I don't see him being at the top but hes gonna be my new main

I only see Fsmash and maybe Bair being reliable kill options (and the waft of course) unless I'm missing something?

yeah he didnt have much to begin with in 9b :/

I kinda wish his old F-Smash was kept (and maybe its properties altered or something to make it a kill option) but other than that I really am glad with this overhaul

My only complaint so far is he doesn't have his groundpound down air anymore. I LOVED going off stage and landing that spike, bouncing off of the opponent like a basketball.

his current dair is much better imo. you can use it to approach and beats out alot of attacks

Nah, I also find old D-Air to be more fun honestly.
I wanna have fun, not be good.
Overall Wario it's pretty great and fun to play as, definitely a lot better than I imagined.

I know this idea is probably gonna sound pm/brawl-, but a special command to have a ground pound...

Also, I like his god tier (nah most likely just A tier) recovery, he is definitely improved

But he is still lacking in the kill power department, although D-Smash to F-Smash is pretty nice if one can do reads

They ruined Wario. No dair butt pound. No forward smash. s*** taunt (the jaw click really?), s*** chomp attack, s*** animations, etc. He also feels a lot slower. Characters like Sheik can rack up damage on him as he's too slow to move or register an attack. Of course, he's always been slow in previous versions, but that was more than made up by his unique moveset - now he's much slower.

Wario has always been the lul character, but now he's disabled. They took all the fun out of Wario, and gave him a lobotomy.

The devs really dropped the ball on this new version and SSF2 Beta is a fail.

Wario's awesome. I've never cared much about him in any smash game, but picking him up in beta feels great. His aerials can combo and chase well, his tilts have good hitboxes. Side-B and Uair are semi-reliable kill options. His recovery is great. I don't even care that his chomp is crap, the rest is too much fun.

Idk if someone has already said this before but, imo s down smash needs a buff, just basically a buff to where it can spike.

I think it would be a lot more helpful and it makes more sense to me anyway.

Can disagree if you want, but again, it makes more sense to me if s down smash can spike.

I heard his dair can already spike, but still just saying my opinion.

Edit: Is it because of it's range for why it's not a spike?

I have mixed opinions about Wario.
On one hand,he feels like how Sm4sh Wario should've been. But on the other,he just feels like a bad PM Wario.

First of all,his DSmash. It needs to be able to spike, and maybe have more range.

The fact that the opponent can get out of Neutral B at 0% and punish Wario is sad. Having a hitbox when Wario doesn't chomp the opponent is cool tho.

His DAir is a pretty good move,but can't he get the old ground pound back and make NAir have his current DAir's properties? IDK,that's just a personal opinion.

Also,i think that Side B should kill a little earlier.

The rest of his moves are pretty okay. His aerial game is good, his grabs are fine and he just feels good to play as.

I really miss the Dair. It was more Wario than what it is now.

Yeah alot of people miss the old D-Air, myself included
I mean this new one's definitely more useful but the old one was hella lotta fun
