My Mom works at an Applebees, she keeps all her tips. I've only seen one restaraunt that doesn't do that, Denny's, but Denny's is generally considered a terrible place to work

Here in America the tip is practically considered part of the cost. If you don't pay it, you're cheating the restaurant or s***.

Same with many parts of Australia, there are some restaurants where they get more money from tipping than from the menu itself. _________________  |

I went to this one restaurant that automatically took "gratuity" (totally not tip) and then asked for a tip.

We don't really have a tipping standard here, you just tip depending on how satisfied you are with the service.
