For one, they drew it for fun on their office white board; and second, if it WAS meant to promote the "new hope", it would of been made in either February, when it was first announced, or mid-June, when progress was starting to come along. Not in July, where fans already KNEW it was coming. So no, it wasn't to promote hope. He even stated that he was disappointed due to the early announcement, and how fans had to wait so long; why would he use the whiteboard for hype when the game's engine was completed (or at least good enough for the trailer) in 2013?

enough of that. All of those characters are coming back anyway.
I kind of expected this - Sakurai took a week off for New Years on the Brawl Dojo too. Still sucks though

Still expecting to see Dedede first, since he's confirmed to appear in Triple Deluxe. Metaknight's appearance in that game is unknown for now, so i dont see them revealing him first. I do think both will be returning though.

Hey guys do you think it would be a good idea if F.L.U.U.D. worked similar to how Samus taunt in Project M can switch be between ice and fire attacks. Mario will be able to change his nozzle to how it can used in sunshine with it being used to hover, used as a rocket or allows him to slide.
