I know that every part of the human body is important,and without an organ the human body can't function well,but i found a part of the human not useful at all,it is the nail.i don't get what's the function of the nails,so can anyone tell me its function?

The appendix has been found to produce a certain vitamin to the stomach when it needs it. It's not needed for survival though.

Nails are still needed anyway, for digging things out, Human's wouldn't have the same ammount of grip without them.
