The design is not set in stone, including her skin color.

I gotta say I really don't like the new design
For reference:  I don't want to say the new one looks too Japanese, but I think that might be what my issue is with it. I just really prefer the old style |

So, I just wanna know where this game falls in the timeline. Is it before the original game, between the original and Risky's Revenge, after Pirate's Curse, or is this some alternate timeline thing? It can't be after Risky's Revenge, because she's got her genie powers.
