I don't know if this has already been posted, disregard this thread if it has been posted already. An experienced spriter, or probably a group of experienced spriters should open up a spriting school in the spriting section. That school (thread/forum) will be mostly for beginners or even medium-level spriters that want to get better and can actually get critique from the teachers. It's nowhere near a tutorial because a tutorial isn't really interactive and I don't think it actually helps beginner spriters get better, I think it only gives them an idea of what to do.

For choosing the group of experienced spriters, possibly a poll with good nominations, or have the best spriters volunteer to do so.

If someone wanted to open up a spriting school topic I definitely wouldn't stop them. Though I don't think it needs to be a "group" so to speak.

Of course, a teacher can't pay attention to all of his students. So it would really be suggestive to have a group of great spriters to make the school. If somebody starts the poll, where should he make it and who should he be?

Normally the people that want to help beginner spriters do, in said beginner's topic. Forcing a group of advanced spriters to help people won't work.

Section for the dick suckers moderators to make them feel special talk about important issues on the forums. It's just a forum that is named "moderator section"

Yeah, I think this is a good idea.
Every day, there could be "assignments" given to each level of spriter (there would need to be different levels, so that more advanced spriters who aren't quite teacher quality wouldn't be doing the same assignments as someone who just began spriting)

This topic is requesting a topic. You can go do that now, you don't need to request it. It doesn't need a member group either, just one guy that's active enough to update a lot and that listen to the other guys in the "group".

Not hard.

Perhaps not a group, but a section at least. You cannot keep it organized as other posters contribute to the forums bumping generic topics above the prioritized topics this idea asks for. I believe we need either a group/section, but if a group was made, it would be PM based, or make it so it is like Spam Section Access where only "students" can post in the section if one area was designated to be made.

This idea is similar to how we used to have the Sprite Crew group. They weren't really here to teach, but I imagine if we still had that group they would organize something like this.

Well, I don't see this working...

I remember an old topic on the "coder's section" called "flash school" (created by Raccon, in case you were wondering), and that failed hard to teach anyone.
My guess is that this will fail the same way.

The sprite crew was not usefull either, since cool spriters get bored after being asked 15 times the same question... and we already have sprite mods, so it makes no sense having people to control sprite section's quality.
(I remember that section more organized when I was a section mod in there, though)

As much, we could have a topic, but this only makes sense if people really WANTS to get serious into spriting, and I don't see that happening.

I'm not requesting or even suggesting to have a member group, only a group/organization (mainly, the word for this could be clan) with great spriters that have the time to help other spriters (especially beginners). The spriting school's staff will certainly not be anything like that spriting crew if they were that bad in how you mentioned it. Also, Flash is definitely harder than spriting, there are things that some people can't really understand when read, only when heard. Maybe I'll open up a thread in a day or two searching for a few good spriters to help with it. If it goes well, then we can request for a subsection in the Spriter's Corner.

Oh in that case, go find some spriters. They won't come to you randomly.

Spriting school is still a good idea
Aiden's topic doesn't really have a lot of good tutorials, just basic shading and what-not.
And if you search spriting tutorials on google, it only shows Pokemon Recoloring and what-not. Go Figure.
If would be cool if someone shows a decent, thorough, and good tutorial on how to sprite, and is easily updated, then this is a good idea.

That shows you fail at searching sprites tutorials.
When I used to sprite, I had found some good tutorials.

You just got to look up in big sprite pages like pixeljoint.

I'm going to have to say no to all of this. If anyone wants to set up some sort of organization on your own, feel free to do so cuz I won't stop you. But it won't be in the form of a member group. Your best bet may be just to search the web for help on the subject, since you can't force a spriter to answer all your questions, they have to be willing to do it
