It's weird because on paper it seemed like mangini is right up my alley. Poly-rhythms, time signature changes, moving accents ect ect. But I listen to him and it's just so f*** boring to me. There's never a moment where I think holy s*** this is great. Maybe I find him predictable or something, I don't know. I get similar feelings with terry bozzio too.
